Login to see pricesThe E. coli Vial (S2-EC) is used to detect Escherichia coli species. The vial contains a broth enrichment medium with a fluorescent indicator. The vial has an assay time of 18 hours for most applications. The E. coli vial utilizes MUG, the most commonly used fluorogenic substrate to detect the glucuronidase activity of E. coli organisms. The detection system features an agar plug through which optical measurements are performed, monitoring the fluorescent change in the liquid medium.
